Course Code CATMAN
Description: Classroom based training for supply managers, to equip them with the skills to tackle the provisioning element of their job. This course is mandatory for all Band E staff who are new to the Supply Discipline and relevant to anyone who has a Supply Line Management responsibility. This session is part of the consolidation exercise at the end of mandated courses. This module can be used as a refresher for all grades.
Aim: To give participants a working level understanding of provisioning process within supply management.
Duration: 2.5 days non-residential.
Pre-Requisites: Mandatory for: All Band E staff who are new to the Supply Discipline.
Designed For:  Band E staff new to the supply discipline and experienced supply staff requiring refresher training.
Cost for Non MoD Applicants: The cost of this course is £690.00 excluding VAT. Details of payment options will be sent in a confirmation e-mail when you apply for the course.
Objectives: By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

• Explain the concept of initial provisioning;
• Describe the RAF method of referencing equipment, classifying and conditioning;
• Explain the need for the NATO Codification System;
• Explain the need for maintaining item records on the SCCS database;
• Outline the procedures for:
          - Item record creation;
          - RAB Codes;
          - Changing stock numbers;
          - TMA and MET codes.
