| Description: |
This is an introductory course
to Reliability & Maintainability. It provides basic awareness of
R&M Concepts, Implementation, Tools & Techniques, Documentation
and Policy. It is the pre-requisite for the Practitioner Of
Reliability and Maintainability (PORM) course. It is based upon
R&M Functional Competences RM1-RM3. |
| Aim: |
To provide an appreciation of
the concepts and principles of R&M and their application to the
acquisition of defence equipment. |
| Duration: |
1.5 days non-residential |
| Pre-Requisites: |
Introduction to Defence
Acquisition (IDA/IDAOLT) or have a thorough understanding of the
MOD Acquisition Process. The work covered by the IDA is treated
as assumed knowledge. |
| Designed For: |
This course is suitable for MOD
civilian/military staff, working in project management or
equipment support areas. This course is also suitable for
overseas personnel and candidates working in the defence
industries. |

| Objectives: |
By the end of the course
delegates will have Awareness level knowledge and skills:
• Required to enable informed
decisions to be made within MOD involving R&M;
• That ensure projects satisfy customer’s R&M requirements
throughout acquisition;
• Required to persuade the acquisition community to give R&M due
consideration throughout CADMID. |
