Asset Optimisation Tool
Course Code AOT
Description: An interactive course that will familiarise staff involved on Inventory Management, with the benefits of AOT and provide hands on experience of using the tool.
Aim: To explain why the Asset Optimisation Tool (AOT) is being introduced, show how it can assist with inventory management through optimisation stock holdings and provide hands on experience of using the tool
Duration: 1 day non-residential
Pre-Requisites: There are no pre-requisites, but completion of the following supply courses is recommended (or a good knowledge of supply and finance practices and procedures) Repair Procedures (REP), Catalogue Management (CATMAN), Demand Satisfaction & Stock Replenishment (DEMSAT), Reprovisioning (REPROV), Method of Procurement within Supply (MOPS), Asset Reduction and Consolidation exercises for all (ARCON), Finance Awareness & Principles of RAB (FAPR), Supply Awareness (SAC) for non-supply staff. This course may not be suited to new entrants or those new to the supply discipline.
Designed For: All staff with a stake in inventory management.

• Explain the background and history of the AOT project;
• Demonstrate how the AOT can help optimise stock holdings from a financial, as well as supply point of view;
• Provide a working knowledge of the AOT system.
