| Description: |
This course is designed to provide delegates with an explanation of their
roles and responsibilities in requirements management with an emphasis on the
processes, techniques and tools employed. Please note that priority will be
given to applicants currently in a Requirements Managers role. |
| Aim: |
To provide Requirements Managers (RMs) with an understanding of their roles
and responsibilities; and an insight into the Acquisition Operating Framework
guidance, processes, outputs, techniques and tools available for Requirements &
Acceptance management. |
| Exam: |
The course content is subject to an assessment endorsed by the University of
York at the end of the course. |

2 days non-residential |
| Pre-Requisites: |
It is strongly recommended that students have completed the Introduction to
Defence Acquisition (IDA/IDAOLT) course. It is also recommended that delegates
have at least 3 months experience within their IPT prior to attending. They
should also be familiar with the content of the Acquisition Operating Framework
(AOF). |

Personnel working as RMs in DE&S, Defence Estates and other personnel with
responsibility for the management or writing of requirements. |

| Objectives: |
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
• State the roles and responsibilities of a Requirement Manager (RM);
• State how Requirement & Acceptance (R&A) fits within the Smart Acquisition
process;
• Demonstrate knowledge of the key R&A Acquisition Operating Framework (AOF)
guidance, processes, techniques and tools;
• Identify the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders. |
