Quality Assurance Practitioner (Part 2)
Course Code QAPT2
Description: A course that will help delegates develop their skills and understanding of MOD Quality Assurance.
Aim: To provide practice at using the skills, tools and techniques required for the development of Practitioner Level Quality Assurance competences MQ 1 to 4.
Exam: Short exam based on the AOF Managing Quality document. Successful completion of this exam is one of the requirements for the MOD QA licence.
Duration: 3 days non-residential
Pre-Requisites:
  • Awareness of the content of the AOF Managing Quality Document - the course requires prior knowledge and use of this document.
  • Quality Assurance Practitioner Training (Part 1) (and successful completion of the exam) - attended at least 3 months prior to this course (any exemption from attending QAPT1 requires authorisation from Head of DQA Policy).
Designed For: New and existing Quality Assurance practitioners.

Objectives: By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

• Influence where MOD quality requirements are invoked;
• Determine where National and NATO quality policy are applicable;
• Identify product and supplier risk;
• Analyse risk and advise how quality techniques can mitigate risk;
• Formulate appropriate quality related risk mitigation activities;
• Appraise the relevant technology applicable to the product and its quality;
• Assess suppliers ability to meet contractual quality requirements;
• Assess the quality performance of a supplier.
