Ranging and Obsolescence - Practitioner
Course Code PS-11
Description: This course provides further detail of the Ranging and Obsolescence processes. It gives step by step guidance to promote effective and efficient management of existing SS3 Ranges. It also includes a student led Ranging and Obsolescence problem solving session.
Aim: To provide an understanding of the Ranging and Obsolescence processes to enable students to add and maintain Ranges and aid the efficient management of the Obsolescence process.
Duration: 1 day non-residential.
Pre-Requisites: Ranging and Obsolescence - Practitioner (Part 1) (PS-02).
Designed For: All civilian and military personnel who require an understanding of Ranging and Obsolescence processes and systems.
Objective: By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

• Fully identify all steps within the Ranging and Obsolescence processes and have the ability to apply these to their equipment;
• List the documents and transaction codes that are required to perform Ranging and Obsolescence maintenance tasks and ability to verify hierarchies using OLAS;
• Demonstrate the ability to identify the information and forms needed to maintain and amend SS3 Ranges and manage Obsolescence and to provide advice and guidance to others.
