| Description: |
This course provides an Introduction to the Ranging,
Applicability and Obsolescence processes. It provides a step by step overview of how to manage
the processes and material needed to range and manage Obsolescence effectively
and a hands on element processing OLIVER transactions, with an introduction
to OLAS. |
| Aim: |
To provide a basic understanding of the Ranging and Obsolescence process to enable new equipment to be Ranged to Stores System 3
(SS3) and the Obsolescence process to be managed effectively. |
| Duration: |
1 or 2 days non-residential dependant on individuals
COGNOS 8 Licence. |
| Pre-Requisites: |
Successful completion of Combined Stores System 3 and OLIVER (PS-03) course prior to attending this course.

| Objectives: |
By the end of the course delegates will be able to: • Correctly
identify the main steps in the Ranging and Obsolescence process and where this
is applicable to an item of equipment;
• List the documents and SS3 transaction codes that are required to perform
Ranging and Obsolescence tasks;
• Demonstrate awareness of the information needed to Range equipment and the
forms which are needed to manage Obsolescence. |
