Facilitation Skills

Description: This module can be run as a tailored event for Category Teams, acquisition teams or as an open module. The module uses a highly participative approach utilising live team data or case study material (for an open module). The module introduces tools and techniques to support creative idea generation and problem solving as well as giving delegates the opportunity to consider their softer, interpersonal skill set.
Aim: To develop core facilitation skills to manage workshops and meetings.
Duration: 1 day non-residential.
Pre-Requisites: For team based modules a pre-meet will be necessary in order to establish the team's requirement. No pre-requisites for 'open' modules.
Designed For: Teams or individuals within the Acquisition Community who are required to run facilitated sessions with both internal and external stakeholders.*Please note this course is not open to non-MOD delegates.
Objectives: By the end of the course delegates will:

• Have the basic skills to facilitate workshops and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Be able to accelerate problem solving and develop creative options for change;
• Have increased confidence in running focused, results driven facilitated sessions;
• Be able to apply the various tools and techniques available for category management.
