Description: This on-line course is one of a suite of courses which will give personnel working in the Catering, Retail and Leisure environment the knowledge required for their roles. It provides an overview of the subject and the knowledge required to progress to the next level course.
Aim: To provide delegates with a basic awareness of Catering, Retail and Leisure (CRL) including Pay as You Dine (PAYD).
Duration: 2 Hours Approximately.
Pre-Requisites: None.
Designed For: All staff involved in CRL and PAYD activities.

Cost for non MOD applicants: This course is part of a package and cannot be purchased individually. The cost for the package is £125 excluding VAT. The package consists of Catering, Retail and Leisure - Awareness (CRL-A), Practitioner (CRL-P), Supervisor (CRL-S) and Unit Executive (CRL-UE).

Objectives: By the end of the package learners will be able to:

• Recognise a description of CRL;
• Understand the concept of PAYD;
• Understand CRL strategy, CRL policies and the individuals role in a CRL environment;
• Understand how core catering fits into the CRL environment;
• Understand Command and Control arrangements of Core Catering Manpower (CCM) in CRL contracts;
• Understand the terms and conditions that apply to CCM;
• Understand a definition of Quality Assurance (QA) and why QA is important in a CRL environment;
• Describe how QA is applied and understand the use of a QA diary.
