Commercial Practitioners Workshop 2

Description: The second workshop that is part of the award winning Commercial Awareness and Practitioner Programme is designed for those obtaining a Commercial Licence, Office of Government Commerce Certificate of Competence in Purchasing and Supply or a CIPS qualification.
Aim: To enhance and reinforce the elearning modules 7-12 of the Commercial Awareness and Practitioner Programme On-Line Training (CAPPOL).
Duration: 2 days non-residential
Pre-Requisites: You may only apply for the workshop if:

• You are seeking to obtain Commercial Licence, Office of Government Commerce Certificate of Competence or a CIPS qualification and
• You have successfully passed modules 7-12 of the Commercial Awareness and Practitioner Programme On-Line Training.
• Once you have passed modules 7-12 you will be provided with an (automated) authorisation code sent to you by email which once received you may use to book onto the workshop. Please note that you cannot self-book onto this course via HRMS, please telephone the course administrator once you have received your authorisation code.

Designed For: Mandatory for all personnel seeking to obtain Commercial Licence, Office of Government Commerce Certificate of Competence or a CIPS qualification.
Cost for Non MoD Applicants: The cost of this course is £550.00 excluding VAT. Details of payment options will be sent in a confirmation e-mail when you apply for the course.
Objectives: Following on from Commercial Practitioner Workshop 1 participants will be required to apply the knowledge gained from e-learning modules 7-12 of the Commercial Awareness and Practitioner Programme On-Line training to a variety of commercial and procurement simulations to enhance and reinforce their learning under controlled conditions. Participants will be required to contribute and make decisions individually and as part of a group and then present rationale for their decisions and actions. The areas in which this will take place are:

• Inviting Suppliers to Submit Proposals;
• Evaluating Tenders;
• Formalising the Agreement;
• Managing the Contract.
