| Description: |
Configuration Management (CM) is a management system for establishing a product's functional and physical characteristics and for maintaining consistency with its changing requirements through the life cycle. Being able to track requirements throughout the acquisition process, identify, control and manage changes and to know the exact build state of equipment in service is a fundamental element of managing projects. Reducing expenditure, eliminating wasteful use of resources and understanding the impact and cost of decisions on a project are just some of the benefits of successful configuration management. This course complements the Principles of Configuration Management course and provides more detailed knowledge of CM and how to apply CM throughout the life of a project. |

• To introduce students to the CM practitioners role. |
