Bristol Training Centre - Admiral House
Admiral House is open from 07.00 to 19.00 Monday to Friday.
Facilities Admiral House is a modern, fully air-conditioned, purpose-built training centre. It is a secure building and has a controlled door entry system. Students will require identification in order to enter the building and should wear their passes at all times whilst on-site. On your arrival, you will be directed to the delegate lounge or Bistro. Seen as part of your learning experience, the student lounge is an ideal place to meet as well as mix and relax with other students. Hot and cold refreshments are available during your visit which can be purchased from our retail Bistro area. Whilst every care is taken to meet everyone’s needs at DA-CMT Bristol, we do request that any specific (such as dietary or disability) requirements are clearly stated on your application form. This allows staff at Admiral House to ensure that your needs no matter how diverse are dealt with in advance of your arrival. To assist visitors with specific requirements we do have car parking; wheelchairs; adapted WCs; lifts; orthopaedic chairs and footstools. The facility has a range of rooms that are fully multimedia capable and are equipped with PCs, data projectors and audio-visual equipment. Travel Admiral House is situated approximately 5 miles north of Bristol City Centre, half a mile west of the M32 and close to the A4174 Bristol Ring Road. The building is within walking distance of the Abbey Wood headquarters of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S). It is readily accessible by car and is served by local bus services. The nearest railway stations are Bristol Parkway (approximately 2 miles) and Filton Abbey Wood (2 miles). A detailed map with directions to Admiral House is also available. In the interests of the environment it is requested that where practical, delegates use public transport, or participate in car sharing for their journey to Admiral House. Click here to check live traffic information on the motorways and major A roads before you travel. Car Parking The Admiral House car park now has the added security of a barrier entry and exit system. To gain entry to the car park, which is keypad activated, you will need to pre-book your car space by telephoning your course administrator when you have received your joining instructions. When your reservation has been confirmed, you will be able to gain access by inputting the first 5 numeric digits of your staff number into the keypad. (This will expire when your course has finished). You will not be able to gain access if your request has been refused, as your staff number will not be programmed into the system to allow you entry. As there is limited parking at Admiral House, spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis with priority given to those who are willing to car share. When these places have been exhausted, you will be offered the alternative arrangement of using our overflow car park at the Holiday Inn. You are welcome to enquire if there have been any cancellations of car parking spaces nearer the time of your course. Please be advised that the owners of Bristol Business Park do not allow parking on any of the roads within the Business Park.
