What Training Do I Need To Get My Licence?

Defence Academy - College of Management & Technology (Acquisition) offer a number of courses that can, should you wish, lead you to gain a licence in your chosen route.

Commercial:
Our portfolio is for staff in the Commercial function who require practitioner level training, and non-commercial staff who need an awareness of commercial practices. It is mandatory for those new to the Commercial Function to undertake the Commercial Awareness and Practitioner Programme (CAPP), which equates to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) level 3 qualification. Training is also aligned to the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) sponsored Certificate of Competence in Purchasing and Supply; a professional qualification equating to CIPS level 4 and recognised in both government and the private sector. A recent review of the Commercial training has recommended an improved and updated a smaller portfolio of courses, with a clear focus on CIPS Level 3 and 4. Programme and Project Management:
Our Project and Programme Management training portfolio has been designed to provide structured achievement in line with the Association for Project Management (APM) qualifications framework. Using a blended learning approach, and following the APM Body of Knowledge and MOD PPM functional competencies, it provides three levels of competency, leading to formal qualifications.
Students following the APM route can use the flexible and comprehensive suite of training options available to study the full course or bypass modules where expertise has been established. Our training solutions leading to the APMP Qualification have been accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM). Click here for the list of training required to gain your Licence.
