Supply Chain Information Systems (Air) Workshop

Description:

This four day workshop follows on from the Supply Chain Information Systems (Air) On-Line Training (SCISAO) and is part of a suite of blended learning courses, which will provide students with the Functional Competences of Supply Chain Management from an Air perspective. This workshop gives the student a practical hands-on overview of all aspects of Air Supply Chain management functions from "cradle to grave" (initial provisioning through to disposals) utilising the systems within the Air environment in a safe training environment. On completion of this workshop, delegates will be required to undertake the associated on-line assessment (Assessment Code: SCISAA). This assessment can be accessed through the Acquisition e-learning website.

Aim: To ensure that all Supply Chain Managers within the Air environment achieve a level of functional competence required by basic practitioners prior to initial delegation of requirement and/or financial authority. Those seeking to gain their licence will be required to attend this course within 2 months of completing the Supply Chain Information Systems (Air) On-Line Training (SCISAO) course and pass the on-line assessment.
Duration: 4 days non-residential.
Pre-Requisites: Students must have completed the Inventory Management Basic Awareness On-Line Training (IMBAOL), Inventory Management Practitioner Basic (IMPB) classroom course and Supply Chain Information Systems (Air) On-Line Training before application for this course will be accepted.
Designed for: Supply Chain Managers who are new to the Supply Chain function at all grades. This course in not open to Industry (DSG) and other environments (Partners) however for those who require hands-on experience of the Air IS systems, applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis

Objectives: • By the end of the course students will be able to:
• Use the correct procedures for logging on and off SCCS;
• Calculate provisioning parameters (PAF & PQQ)
• Use SCCS for initial Provisioning, Procurement, Reprovisioning and Disposal;
• State and use the Transaction Codes to Create, Query and Amend Item Records.
