| Description: |
This course builds upon the acquisition models introduced
during Introduction to Defence Acquisition (IDA/IDAOLT),
addressing the practices, processes and discipline in greater
detail. This course is almost entirely exercise based with
syndicate groups using an equipment based example to take them
through the acquisition cycle, from Concept to Disposal. |
| Aim: |
To provide delegates with the opportunity to manage, within
a classroom environment, a large equipment based project through
the CADMID cycle, and to explore a range of throughlife issues. |

All personnel within the Acquisition Community who wish to
explore the practical implications of MOD Acquisition processes
and procedures. |

| Objectives: |
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
• Describe how Through Life Management is pivotal to delivering
military capability from Concept through to Disposal;
• Relate how functional disciplines contribute to the success of
a project and who the functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
are;
• Explain the benefits of stakeholder management and
communication between stakeholders;
• Explain the benefits of building the right team and the
importance of this element in achieving successful military
capability. |
